My name is Jon, or Jonathan. I plan on becoming a writer. I like playing video games, reading graphic novels and books, and I enjoy anime. My favorite franchises are the Zelda and Final Fantasy series. If anyone wants to challenge me on a game, like wi-fi, PSP, X-box Live or things like that, my username is D. Sword. I also like to read manga, my favorite authors being Naoki Urasawa, Osamu Tezuka, Clamp, and Hiromu Arakawa. I also love comic books, my favorite being The Sandman. As for literature, my favorite authors are Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and H. P. Lovecraft.

I enjoy writing ideas for stories (as well as writing the actual thing), movies, television, and video games. I'm also interested in Japanese culture and its lifestyle.

Hayao Miyazaki movies, Akira, The Dark Knight, Inception, Indiana Jones, Metropolis (anime), Super 8, Lord of the Rings, Titus, and Stand By Me.
Music:
I enjoy rock, heavy metal, techno, pop, Japanese, only a few country songs (so far not really my favorite genre), classical, and orchestra.
Books:
Tales of the Otori, Pet Sematary, the Dark Tower series, Cycle of the Werewolf, Lovecraft stories, The Great God Pan, It, and any good manga, like Pluto, Trigun, and FullMetal Alchemist.

Yeah that 1990s movie was an atrocity, but the IDW series of Godzilla comicbooks that came out recently is actually kind of fun if you haven't read it yet, (especially if you're a fan of the original films)
Also the original 1954 Godzilla is going to be released by Criterion on Blu-Ray and DVD next February I believe, I really need to get a Blu-Ray player by then.

Something else from Bleeding Cool, It seems that the family of Ishiro Honda (The director of the original Godzilla movie) are suing Toho studios for the rights to Godzilla, needless to say Toho is still trying to hold onto the big green guy.

There's also a new bit of information about the Akira film over at Bleeding Cool including a list of leading actors and how they're trying to rationalize the film being set in Neo Manhattan instead of Neo Tokyo (do they actually use the word Neo in this new bastardization?) don't know, don't care anymore. %^&* Warner Bros!
