Rod is doing this song the honor it deserves by including it with his covers. He's not trying to one-up any of the originals. All of Rod's covers of the beautiful songs he heard and loved as he grew up are simply him showing us the content of his heart and soul.

Dude, I'm an old man and I vote that THAT was an excellent performance. If you're not already in a high-level rock band as a (drummer and) singer, you should be. Figure out how to get a Rock agent to watch this video - push, mail, email, whatever - someone in charge should hear and watch this.
