I'm complicated, even to myself. I will be two feet in the grave before I am able to figure half of this world - and its perverted, self-engrossed population of brain washed puppets - out...or before figuring out what it has made in me.
I harbor a lot of anger, disgust, and discontent towards my species, and that is a definite fault on my part, but probably nothing that can or will be fixed until I am either really old or really dead. I am judgemental and sometimes harshly opinionated, also faults, but I am not of the belief that people should not be judged or have your opinions expressed strongly against them - people NEED (in moderation, of course) this in my opinion, otherwise how the fuck are they going to change? I have been judged since day 1 on this planet, so I do not feel guilty for telling someone they are dirt if they have a porn fetish or like to hurt children. It takes a very patient and similar soul to know me, listen to me, and start to understand me - thus my friends are few, my loved ones even fewer.
Life is unfortunately not about ultimate goodness and treating everyone accordingly (sorry, Confucious!). It is about learning from your mistakes, and from those of others, and trying to keep your head above water on a day to day basis, taking what you can when you can. Pick your battles, don't back down, try not to be manipulated. Trust noone except those that have earned a place in your heart. It's okay to hate a little bit and see the world for what it is. Trust your own judgement and gut feelings. Defend what is yours, keep it close.
100 years from now, none of what I think or do will matter, unless I become an extremist (ha-ha) so who cares, right? Meanwhile - enjoy the compilations. Be a jackass, and I'll be the first in line to tell you so. Flame on me here, and I will follow you home - take my word on it! Full-time skeptic, part-time optimist. Trying very hard (with love and support) to switch those vice-versa. I currently work as a Program Manager at a group home for teenage boys, and have been in the Mental Health field for ten years. It adds spice to my life, a good dose of perspective, and reminds me on a daily basis that THINGS CAN ALWAYS BE WORSE.
Interests
Whatever interests me. Today it might be Aztec ruins and ancient alien theory. Tomorrow it might be the human condition, psychological weaknesses and mankind's seeming obsession with pornography and self-gratuitous behavior. The next day it might be Gummi-Bears and Twix Candy Bars. Music is the elixir of life. Rats make great companion pets. Women are usually more trouble than they are worth. Men shouldn't be trusted.
