Born in Mumbai, India and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Kanika Chadda is a broadcast journalist noted for her reportage of the arts, culture, fashion, and human-interest features. As an Anchor/Correspondent with CNN's sister station, CNN-IBN (Indian Broadcasting Network), she works with the Entertainment Bureau covering Bollywood and Hollywood daily news.

Chadda is the go-to person for fashion with her popular segment "Fashion Police" where she rates celebrity style hits and misses. She has interviewed prominent fixtures in the entertainment circuit including New York based rapper Mims, Danish band Outlandish, and Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. She participated in the networks extensive coverage of the 81st Annual Academy Awards with a special focus on "Slumdog Millionaire" which bagged 8 awards. She also assisted the news team with 26/11 Mumbai Massacre live broadcasts and interviewed survivors.

Along with MTV Tr3s VJ Carlos Santos, Chadda co-hosted an exclusive program on MTV World on Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori starrer "Kites."

In addition to her broadcast work, Chadda works as a freelance writer for society glossies, Hello! India and The Sindhian and contributes as an expat columnist to the Hindustan Times HT Café.

After earning her Bachelors degree in International Relations from Boston University, Chadda went on to pursue her Masters in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Miami. She worked as an intern with the Consumer Investigative Unit for NBC 6 in Miami. She also worked as an anchor for UMTVs NewsVision and an Entertainment Correspondent for Canes Gone Crazy.

Chadda was crowned Miss India East Coast in 2006. She is an active member of the International Radio and Television Society and South Asian Journalists Association.
