@iwontthinkofaname I saw: Funkadelic, Buddy Miles, Chuck Berry, Seger, Savage Grace, Frost, Wilbert Harrison and lots of other great acts there. Went there once when Memorial Park was busted and saw another great band.

It's a shame this wasn't a major hit. Should have been.

I've always loved this song, and always loved TFF as well. But I can't resist this: change the word "it" in the chorus to "one"! Guess you'd get a whole different song altogether!

Let me plug the third song on each side of Faithful Friends: the veritable title song, and Asking Too Much, which really should have been a smash hit. But almost the whole album is great. Got to love Buddy Miles' ripoff of Sing Lady Sing, eh? :( (though I've always liked Miles anyway)

As gorgeous as Walk Away Renee is, this is even more so! One of the top five songs of the sixties, i m o.

This version is great. The M&P version, however, is poignant to a point of inducing tears like hardly any other song.

May be the most beautiful rock song ever. This time, unfortunately, it seem Gary sort of "nonchalants" it, chopping the melody lines, and seems not to be as into it. Understandable, though, if you perform it repeatedly I guess.

I met David Cousins at the Ark in Ann Arbor. I thanked him for such great music and he was very grateful for that. I think he is among the finest vocalists, ever. What a voice and what great songs!!

Probably their best song (Golden Arrow, Long Way To Go, maybe?). Very funny song. Classic lines.

I'm ALMOST old enough to remember the Herald Express and the Mirror News, but not quite! Just wonder if the Mael brothers, Ron and Russell, had ever considered collaborating with him on something. Not sure what, though. But it might have proven interesting.
