KMD is a provocative idea firm that just so happens to have a deep PASSION for great architecture. We dream out loud asking, "Now, what if...?" These outspoken dreams blur the boundaries of immense creativity and optimistic reality.

If you peek into our culture, you will see diverse personalities. We liken ourselves to a community of artists, pirates, scientists, math professors and bards. What we are not is a cookie-cutter corporate firm with tightly controlled design processes. Nor are we run by one narcissistic designer who believes clients are speed bumps in their personal pathways of architectural vision.

If there is one word to describe KMD, it probably is "maverick." We embrace that. We are an eclectic group of architects, some young, others slightly more ancient, but all creative. We have several architects who have gone to other places only to return (boomerangs), and a handful more than once (yo-yo's). All of us agree, there is something magically different about this place called KMD.
