With raccoons around, you're bound to see something interesting from time to time. Not only are they highly inquisitive, but also extremely intelligent!
These videos are of the "resident" raccoons that live in and around our property that come to visit from time to time. Late June and early July are particularly fun due to the appearances of new litters of kits!
July 2007 brought 5 babies.
Little Momma - 3 kits
Big Momma - 2 kits
July 2008 brought 4 babies.
Little Momma - 3 kits
Miss Kitty - 1 kit
(it's thought that Miss Kitty had more than one, but only one survived)
July 2009 - 16 kits born / 5 kits lost
Little Momma - 3 kits (lost 1 - 2 remaining)
Miss Kitty - 3 kits - (lost 1...2 remaining)
Big Momma - 4 kits (lost 3 - 1 remaining)
Mystery (new this year) - 6 kits
