Johnta Austin
(Bio) Johntá Austin - (born June 28, 1980) is a four-time Grammy Award-winning American upcoming artist on Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings.
Austin grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1989, at the age of eight, Austin hosted the daily television show, Kid's Beat on CNN. Covering current events, sports and the entertainment world, Austin went on to become the Atlanta Bureau Chief for the CNN weekly news program, Real News for Kids and the reporter for the TBS half hour weekly, Feed Your Mind. Austin grew up singing in church choirs and wanted to become an actor, and he interviewed such celebrities as Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan, among others, and in 1993, made his television debut on The Arsenio Hall Show, where he admitted he loved singing and was offered to sing with Arsenio Hall's band.
He was originally signed in the mid-late 90s to RCA Records before being dropped in favor of R&B singer Tyrese Gibson. However, he ended up writing a few songs for him (including the hit "Sweet Lady") as well as writing for other artists.
Austin has been extremely busy and successful during the last several years. He co-wrote Mariah Carey's hit 2005 singles, "We Belong Together", "Don't Forget About Us", "It's Like That", and "Shake It Off" from her album "The Emancipation of Mimi". Austin also co-wrote Mary J. Blige's single "Be Without You" from her #1 selling CD "The Breakthrough" and Monica's single "Everytime Tha Beat Drop" from her album The Makings of Me. He is also featured as a guest artist on Jermaine Dupri's 2005 song, "Gotta Getcha" and has co-written a few songs on Chris Brown's self-titled debut album in 2005, as well as "Can I Call You" from Marques Houston's debut album in 2003.
Austin produced and was featured on the songs "Shortie Like Mine" and "Outta My System," both singles by rapper Bow Wow off his album The Price of Fame'. Both of the songs were successful, "Shortie Like Mine" reaching #9, and "Outta My System" reaching #14 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Austin also went recently worked on albums by Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri.

Jacques Lu Cont/Thin White Duke Remixes
Price's work with The Killers began with his remix of their hit single "Mr. Brightside", released under the Thin White Duke name. Subsequently, Price remixed the song "When You Were Young", the first single from The Killers album "Sam's Town". Price produced two of the tracks re-recorded for the release of The Killers' B-Sides album, Sawdust: "Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf" and "Sweet Talk". His remix of "Mr. Brightside" appeared as a bonus track on that release. Price went on to produce The Killers' third studio album, "Day & Age", released on 24 November 2008.[4] He also created an extended remix of the lead single "Human" released under the Thin White Duke name.
Price was the album producer on Seal's fifth studio album System, which was released in November 2007. He also co-wrote several of the album's songs. Price was among the producers of Keane's album Perfect Symmetry, which was released in October 2008.[5]
Price remixed Coldplay's single "Viva la Vida", released on the band's website as the Thin White Duke remix. Price has also produced and mastered tracks for Frankmusik's upcoming album, one of which is "3 Little Words". This track was released as a single on the "3 Little Words" EP. He recently provided two new Thin White Duke remixes for the release of Depeche Mode's latest single, "Wrong".
Price won his first Grammy Award in 2004 for his remix of No Doubt's "It's My Life" produced under the moniker Thin White Duke. In 2005, he was nominated for two Grammys: one for his production of New Order's "Guilt Is a Useless Emotion" and a second for his remix of The Killers' "Mr. Brightside." He won a second Grammy in 2006 for his remix of Coldplay's "Talk" (as Thin White Duke). He was also nominated in 2006 for his recording production with Madonna on the single "Get Together" from the album Confessions on a Dance Floor
