I fly RC helicopters and they have a saying, "If you don't have grass stains on your blades, you're doing it wrong." Looks like this pilot is following a similar mantra. :)

I wouldn't necessarily call that a "failure". You survived the landing and so did most of the helicopter. Real pilots always say, "Any landing you can walk away from is a successful landing." :)
