You know this recording and the sheet music don't match, don't you? Not even close. This is a folk song with several different versions (including different melodies). Pretty version though.

Do you realize this song was adapted from a song from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Whistle Down the Wind".

I actually heard this pop version first.

The purpose of the event was to as many singers together as possible at a set time and place to share some music with others, not to be "original". That's why the Hallelujah Chorus was probably chosen--for seasonal appropriateness and for its familiarity. There are very few people who have sung ...
