Ghost Recon was known for its realism but it always was in the future. When the 1st one got released in 2001, it was set in the year 2008. GRAW was released in 2006 but set in 2013.

It predicted how warfare was gonna be in this game from a 6-7 year radius.

This one is set in 2017. That's why it looks so futuristic-like
