I've been playing guitar for about 8 years and writing songs for 5. But none of it really came together until this year and I'm hoping to steam ahead with it.

My outlook on music is to play what you love, something that gets you. Yeah, it's selfish. But I figure if I'm that excited about one of my songs there has to be at least a few other people out there who are going to enjoy it also.

But then there's the second part. I want to create music that someone can have a connection to. I don't want to make my lyrics complicated, just something that people can understand and relate with. They say a truly simple song song with great lyrics and a hook is one of the hardest songs to write. So that's kind of been my goal, to write songs that are simple yet powerful, to the point but unique.

I hope you can feel a connection with my songs. I'll always enjoy writing music for myself, but it's icing on the cake if it gets through to someone else.
