I know exactly what you mean and I often think "well she deserved it more" because it was an actress who continuously did great in movies but I think the academy only looks at one specific performance and not at how many amazing movies they were in or am I wrong?

ha i love that almost everytime i watch the AA's it's Meryl Streep who's nominated. It's almost like a running gag. She's one of the most brilliant actresses I've ever seen, if not THE most brilliant. But Catherine deserved it, no doubt. She was amazing in Chicago.

i simply love her. she's so...pure. not like all these hollywood starlets who try to achieve fame through causing one scandal after another.
