I take my 3DS off the dock when I leave in the morning, play throughout the day and it's still good when I get home. Battery life is not an issue.

However, it would be nice to have it last for two days for overnight trips.

So....if this brush works for short and long hair coats then why does Amazon have two different SKUs? One for long hair and one for short hair?

One package is the same you see in stores and the other package specifically says SHORT COATS.
