In addition to 'empty Palestine' British map of late 19th century, I mentioned above, there are descritions and maps also from 17th and 18th centuries, who describe empty Palestine province & where ancient tribes of Israel dwelled. They lived much before the Roman conquest of Judea that named the land of Israel by the false name Palestine, and much earlier than the appearance of Muhamad and Islam. Just wondering what had happened if the Romans had called our land SWITSERLAND: Would the later Arab conquerors of the land of Israel, call themselves SWISS PPL? ===========================BTW: The Romans gave this name to our occupied land, after the ancient Phillistines who invaded the land of Israel from the west, as mentioned in the bible. But the ancient Philistines also disappeared from history long before the Arab tribes from east desert became Muslims and expanded their territory of occupation. There is no cultural or genetic connection between historic Philistins and the Arabs who only after 1967 war, when Israel released Judea and Samaria, invented the fiction of separate Palestinian people. The ancient Phillistines worshiped idol of Dagon, and even their biblical name of Philistines [Plishtim in Hebrew] means: the invaders. In Hebrew the root of P,L,SH means all terms of invasion: Plisha= invasion, Liphlosh is the verb = to invade. So even the stolen name of the Palestinians originates in Hebrew (!) and has the meaning of invasion! ==========================On the other hand: If an ancient Israelite would have come to life, we - nowadays Israelis and Jews (in Hebrew, a Jew =Yehudi, ppl of Judea= Yehuda)- had common language and traditions and historical roots. The fact that we, Jews, were ready to split OUR tiny land (which was already split in past after WW1, creating Jordan), hoping for peace, does not mean that land belongs to someone else! === Arab countries have territory twice larger than Europe. There is oil and natural resources. Many are extremely rich. So the problem of their brothers should be solved there! Is there a proof? Do they worship the idol of Baal? Or speak any Canaanite language? Do they call Jerusalem in its Canaanite name Yevus? And how does it match with the other claim they tell to be the descendents of Philistines? Totally different ethnic group! Conclusion: They invent imaginary stories to hide the fact THEY are the foreign conquerors on the land of Israel, that belongs to the Jews, and therefore have no rights on our land, just like any other of its many conquerors during our long history. ===============================And we haven't said yet a word about God's promise of the land to its people Israel.
