Thank you for visiting Jesse's channel!! Jesse is a 4-year old shortie Jack Russell Terrier who loves to show off his array of tricks!! I have taught Jesse all of the tricks he knows. He loves to learn new things and is always up for an adventure. Jesse loves to roller blade, play frisbee, JRT race,do agility, lure coursing, play fetch, hide-and-seek, find it, hiking in the mountains, and much,much more!! This little guy is full of energy and adores being in the spotlight. On Jesse's channel you will find many trick videos, some vidoes of him as a puppy, at JRT Fun Days, and just being a crazy JRT! Also I will be posting some tutorials, and contests, so stay tuned!

All of Jesse's training has been done using Positive Reinforcement. This means that I reward him for offering behaviors, rather than punishing him for doing something wrong. Jesse loves treats, toys, games, and praise. Jesse and I have a wonderful relationship, and we have got where we are now through love, respect, patience, and trust. All of his tricks that he has learned so far have been taught with the marker word, Yes. Tricks are a wonderful bonding experience. It is so much fun seeing Jesse thinking while learning, and he has so much fun performing his tricks. We keep training sessions short, fun, and upbeat. You can tell when Jesse is having fun because he has a huge smile across his face :) He is such a joy to work with, and I cherish every moment we have together.

Jack Russell Terriers are a very intelligent and wonderful breed. They have lots of energy, and are up for any challenge. They require tons of exercise and mental stimulation daily. JRTs bond strongly to their humans, and thrive on being a member of the family. They are little comedians, and love to make people laugh. JRTs are NOT a breed for everyone, and you should definitely do your research before getting one, and make sure that you can fulfill their needs DAILY. If not given proper mental and physical care, they will make up their own ways to try and fulfill their needs in the forms of digging, chewing, barking, and chasing things. JRTs make wonderful family members, and the work you do together with them will be well worth it with the unconditional love they give you in return. I absolutely love their personality and charm!!

Positive Reinforcement is a wonderful training tool, and creates a confident and happy dog who loves working with their handler. Some excellent training books are: Bones would Rain from the Sky by Suzanne Clothier, The Power of Positive Dog Training by Pat Miller, The Dog Whisperer by Paul Owens (training without hitting, kicking, shocking, shaking, or neck jabbing), Dont Shoot the Dog by Karen Pryor, and Click and Train your Dog by Mary Ray.
