Hello, JussiPaul! Thank you for your video! I have two videos of me singing O Del Mio Amato Ben and O Del Dolce Ardor. I wonder can help me identify if I am a lyric baritone or a potential spinto tenor? I haven't developed a good head voice yet. But it seems that I start to struggle a lot in F#, and G. but my technique is not good, resulting my larynx to go up as I go higher (even from D4 to G4). I hope you can give me some advices. Thank you in advance.

The 'Ah' vowel should always be modified towards 'oh', 'or', 'er' and higher up all the way to an 'oo'. The problem with the pure 'Ah' vowel is that it often leads to throat and tongue tension and it doesn't allow enough head voice resonance into the mix. I would start a bit lower with the falsetto. Try from around B below middle C to the B above to begin with and gradually extend it both ways. Once the falsetto is strong and flexible then you can attempt to mix chest resonance back in. When you bring in the full mix you should feel the stretch in the solar plexus and back as I explained before on your channel. Nothing should feel forced but the body will feel tired after singing in full mix for more than half an hour. I wish you all the best.

Hi. Thanks a lot! But what do you mean by "never sing a pure 'ah' vowel"? What vowels should I start out with? I'll try staying with falsetto when I get above an F#.

I meant to say that I start breaking up with my CHEST voice at f or f#

I watched and read comments about how a tenor can sing nigher notes. Is this balanced mix of chest and falsetto taught in classical and opera singing? Is it something new? Is there any free advise on how to manipulate the voice to achieve higher notes? Falsetto is too easy for me so I know I am not using my chest voice. I usually start breaking up around f or f# but i have hit the A before but I think it ends up to louad and strained.

nice channel. I was interested to watch your video and hear your comments on the singers. I think that baritone has his 'oo' stuck in his throat though!

Great, one of the rare voice teacher on youtube who teaches proper singing! ...And probably the only one who posted videos of good singing lessons. At least how much I've found by now...Keep it up! It's a shame not more Swedish-Italian teaching is posted here.

Thanks for the comment!

I also love your lesson videos - they remind me of things I can work on when I'm wandering round my bedroom singing Mozart!
