Just made my first PVC fujara. Just a few questions, sort of after the fact: Where does one place the finger holes? That is, how far up from the bottom of the instrument, as well as how far apart. Also: how large in terms of diameter can the finger holes be? I hazarded a guess and placed the lowest finger hole twelve inches from the bottom of the flute, then the other two each two inches apart and each finger hole is 1/3 inch diameter.

Hello Paul how are you?!
I enjoyed your way of to do whistle with PVC pipe cause before I see I already did one in the D key.
I did a low whistle, visit my channel you will see it in the main video called "Braveheart...."

Hi Paul, I made the Fujara about 11 month's or maybe a year ago out of the
coke bottles, sound's great. Just got around to the 5 minute pvc whistle.
Had some fun making it took me 45 minutes to make ( not good with tools)
sound's good, having fun. Thank's for posting that vid.

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing folk crafts with the world in a way that most anyone can appreciate and mimic. Some people poo-poo instruments made from PVC, aluminum and other easily obtainable materials, but they forget that this is exactly what our ancestors did in using trees, bones, skin, rocks, rice, etc which were all just readily available things!! And they DIDN'T go to college to learn how to make a fiddle, a drum, a shaker, a flute, did they?! Some people want us to think that it takes a $1000 instrument to make proper music, and then there are people like you and me who know better. Congratulations on your work and your art. Please continue sharing and never be discouraged from it.
