2035 American Midwest has gotten a facelift in the remake. It has parallax clouds on top of the same stage background. It even has the same Miclus locations as in the original, along with the Sonic Special Zone entrance sound for Silver Banshee's radar effect. This stage varies widely in difficulty, depending on which ship/character you use. Zapdos in this stage is very difficult, due to all the enemies coming in from all sides.
This stage is shorter than in the original.
The boss, Silver Banshee, has gotten a much needed revamp. It also has a specific part you have to let self-destruct in order to branch to a new stage.

Obreck has contributed another Gradius ship. This time, it's the Gradius Gaiden ship: the Jade Knight. This Gradius ship emphasizes firepower and speed. Its weaknesses are its slow firing rate, the nearly useless Mega Crush Bomber, weaker Shields than the Lord British, and the awkward behavior of the Snake Options.
To compliment the two Gradius ships Obreck added, I completed the Vic Viper. It plays exactly as it did in the original XFEX, complete with the Mega Beam Cannon, which is the most power Bomber in the game. The Vic Viper's strengths are its good firepower. Its weakness is its poor defense and crippling Bomber. The Vic Viper is the only Gradius ship that uses normal Slaves.
The Falchion Beta will be added by Obreck later.
Obreck added am all-new guest fighter to the roster. Watch the video to see what that fighter is!

Another gameplay from the PS2 videogame "R-Type final". Once i heard something like "The Misty lady is a bad ship", so i thought to make a video gameplay (sorry for the bad quality) using it's basic version (the only difference is a less powrful "wave cannon"). As you see isn't that SUCKS, the problem of this ship is AGAIN the limited fire range, which is just downward directions; but there is a small cheat about, use the "force device" as a ram head, and do it firing, so you make a bigger damage (specially with the blue power which is a continuous fire shot). Again, is not a matter of "Good ship/Bad ship" but just a matter of some more training with certain fighters like this one (and some "grey matter" usage to think about some way to use them in some cases) ;) .

The ship from Galaga and the Lord British from the Gradius series are the two newest guest cameo fighters completed! These two ships are made by Obreck2, one of the Mushroom Kingdom Fusion devs.
Unlike the rest of the roster of Xeno Fighters, which have generally Raiden Fighters-style gameplay, these two ships bring their source game elements and are adapted loosely into Raiden Fighters gameplay.
The most notable difference is their Slave acquisition mechanics. The Gyaraga uses a Tractor Beam to capture up to four popcorn enemies as permanent Slaves. The Lord British uses Gradius Shields as its "Slaves". They are aligned to the front of the ship and do not fire.
These ships also have some of their source characteristics, such as powerup voice clips (for Lord British, from the arcade Salamander game) and death animations.

I finally got a new stage done.
This is the first of a set of "EX" stages in the game. If you thought Stage 3-B was hard, you have not seen anything yet!
EX Stages are called that for a reason: they are harder than hard (EXpert difficulty). They are also massive scoring stages, where score-hunting players can score in the tens of millions of points per stage. These EX stages are unlockable when you get certain achievements.
Stage EX-1 is based on the first stage of the 1987 Tecmo arcade SHMUP, Gemini Wing. It has one custom enemy: a large power-up carrier made by Mushroom Kingdom Fusion artist WhiteRoseBrian with modiications by Glaciacloud. It also uses the original music from the game. The Green Walrus Boss has been given pseudo-danmaku bullet attacks. In Xeno Fighters, all ships have a 2x2 hitbox, so they can survive small pattern holes.
Other new stuff: *New explosion sprites. *Preliminary menu system implemented. *Custom highscore table to replace the Game Maker default one.

quick question. i'm using your jshomer 2.2. I already read that you couldn't release the MOST recent one due to copyright blah blah's. But i was wonder if 2.2 is the last of the public releases for JSHomer?
if not is there a place that has the lastest public release of jshomer? i've been looking everywhere but with a high percentage of the mugen sites i used to go to shut down, pinpointing info on my own has been a little more difficult.
Pingu? The penguin from that kid show? I can see why but little kids don't even know what mugen is. Hell, I searched "Pingu" on YouTube and all I got are clips from the show.
I'm sorry but I have to laugh at this; A copyright claim for one hell of an obscure character. lol
Got a Copyright Claim against my Homer Simpson vs. Pingu MUGEN video. The claim was by Hit Entertainment, the American rights holder to the Pingu character. As a result, I now have one strike on my youTube account. If anyone out there has any MUGEN videos with Pingu, delete them immediately, because Hit Entertainment will hunt you down and cause your YouTube account to be flagged.
Hey, JS! I've always been a fan of your Homer MUGEN battles, but I noticed that one of favorite Homer fights is missing. "JS Homer-MUGEN #06: Peter Griffin (Aggressive AI)" If you still have that vid, could you please reupload it? Like I said: It's one of my personal favs, and you are an awesome MUGEN player! FX
