When I first made the original RttH video with the terrible pads I had, I knew i'd have to eventually make a second RttH video showing what was possible with a good drumset and a good pedal: so, here it is.
This score is almost 70,000 points better than the original video I submitted, yet as you can hear in both videos, the rhythm on the parts where the audio drops out are the exact same: meaning, clear evidence that the pads were bad in the other video.
I could probably improve this up to about another 10K or so, gold star maybe on a really good day, but not a FC: that would just require perfection of timing (with the constant BPM changes) that I don't have.
The sound drops out on purpose multiple times during the song so that you can hear the exact rhythm you should be hitting the pads/pedal with to beat those sections.
Also, the pads are shaking so much because of the sock mod: i'm not hitting them all that hard.
(my gamertag = sskitzzo)
I'm using the "Destroyer Pedal" in this video: you can get it at http://www.rockbandpedal.net/ I HIGHLY reccomend this pedal for expert-level players: it makes it SO much easier to do quick hits and overall is extremely sensitive to both soft and hard hits, yet it'll never double-hit on you.
The sock mod's back: read about it at http://rockband.scorehero.com/ forum/viewtopic.php?t=3807
To contact me for whatever reason, E-mail me at azuritereactiondrums@yahoo.com since I don't read my youtube messages for the most part.
And yes, I play drums in real life, been playing them on and off for 4+ years.
