After watching this, I tried with mine. It does the exact same thing! Mine is brand new (2011). I give it a nudge with my thumb to lock all the way forward. Im showing the dealer tomorrow.

Mine is not doing exactly that. But, after pulling the slide back, it will sometimes not go all the way forward, stopping about 1/8 inch short. I have to give it a nudge with my thumb to go all the way. I havent tried to shoot it in that position, but I think it would not shoot.
