About this user
My name is Jonathan Sloman and I am a freelance Film and Television Editor based in London. After ten years working on various projects, I am familiar with all aspects of post-production and have worked as an editor or assistant editor on many productions. I have my own equipment, Final Cut Pro 7 on a portable MacBook Pro, and am equally happy to work either on this or on others' equipment. Most recently I have edited two short comedy films, Birding With Sir Edward Humphry and Kitchen's Closed, and have been working with the Funny Women group assembling visual records of their live shows. In previous years I have edited music videos for OnRoute Entertainment and Go Productions, including Get On The Floor by Legacy, Rita by Coraline and a promotional film for Sol Devious, and the daily video podcasts for the FrightFest horror film festival. Prior to this I edited, both on Final Cut Pro, a sitcom pilot called Surviving and an independent comedy film called Tied To A Chair, which took the Best in Festival at Tamworth's inaugural Heart of England International event and recently played in Manhattan, receiving a good review in The New Yorker. Before that I spent over a year being solely responsible for overseas continuity at Cartoon Network, working exclusively on Avid systems.Through study and through practice I am familiar with all forms of editing equipment, including Avid, Final Cut Pro, Lightworks and Adobe Premiere, on both PC and Mac, in addition to DVD encoding and FTP uploading.
