I can see what he's saying, but the idea of a voice can still be there with an adapted novel. I don't think Stanley Kubrick ever made a film that wasn't based on some other piece of literature, yet he used the novels as a basis and made it entirely his own.

well i like it because of the way it makes me feel, i understand why people like it, it's completely universal, which is why its one of the most covered songs ever. but tbh id choose one of john's songs anyday.
