This is very neat. What would you have to do to get an image of bacteria or a virus with the microscope?

How could this setup be modified so that you could have the visualization play on a wall? I'd like to see a projector used with this. That would be really neat.

Is that galvanized pipe? I've heard that heating galvanized pipe can give off toxic fumes. Did you research this? If so, what info. did you get? I stripped the galvanizing off of a pipe. Maybe it wasn't necessary to do this.

According to my research, breathing the fumes from heated galvanized metal is unhealthy. What are your findings in this regard? What technique did you use to drill the holes?

I want to make one of these but I am really concerned about safety. What metal is best for the pipe? Is it a good idea to attach some fins to the tube to dissipate heat? What did you all use for sealing? How did you check for leaks? The only method that I know of is soapy water.

Is it necessary to use landscaping fabric on the sides so that the dirt doesn't ooze out between the boards?

What are the benefits of this procedure over PRK? What are the results for people with astigmatism or peaks in the cornea? What is the chance of getting halos and starbursts?
