My name is Jonathan, and I also am the owner of the hellsunicorn and TheMetallicNightmare channels on youtube. This channel is designated specifically to my theological and educational endeavors, as well as critiques of various philosphical viewpoints that are either parallel or divergent to my own beliefs. This is essentially a serious place for serious discussion, so the videos featured here will be very strictly moderated.

As an independent Old Catholic who believes in the now very rarely encountered theology of Jansenism (which is really pre-13th century Augustinianism, but I accept the Jesuit coined "Jansenist" label as it is the only one that this belief system is recognized as today), I hold to the old doctrine of Predestination, Total Inability, Sovereign and Irresistible Grace, and the sole authority of God's Word in the Gospels as the test of divinely inspired Ecumenical Councils and Apostolic Succession.

I hold that the true Catholic Church, which has been hidden from all in this current age of apostacy, is now spread about various churches, even if they be themselves apostate or otherwise heretical by way of evolution of doctrine. The Holy Catholic Church is not synonymous with the institutional Roman Church, though elect may have resided and currently reside within its dominion.

I recognize a valid line of Apostolic succession in the Anglican and Orthodox Churches, and I also recognize a situational succession in the Reformed Presbyterian and Lutheran Churches where the essential doctrines of the early church have been sufficiently maintained.

I do not hold as valid that Orthodox view regarding icons as they pertain to incorporeal heavenly bodies, nor do I condone the wildly liberal interpretation that the Roman Church holds towards the 2nd council of Nicaea (this only pertains to depicting Christ's humanity for doctrinal education in the Gospels and the resulting atonement).

I do not support the medieval innovation of transubstantiation as observed in the Roman Church's practice of the Eucharist, nor the sacrifice of the mass, the existence of purgatory, or the cult of the saints. I also reject the Lutheran view of consubstantiation as it runs counter to the valid doctrine expounded upon in the Chalcedonian Creed.

I concur with the Presbyterian concept of conciliar church government, which was earlier introduced in the Catholic Church by William of Ockham and stretches all the way back to the 1st Council of Nicaea. I hold to the traditional Catholic word of bishop as opposed to the Presbyterian term elder.

I hold that the church may only speak as a final authority on the proper doctrines of the church via Ecumenical Council, and that the local diocese is sovereign in its right to elect its own bishops, though elevation to the occasional status of synod or ecumenical bishop arises through the consent of the broader body of the apostolic line. I reject the office of a permanent Ecumenical Bishop, which the Roman heirarchy refers to as Cardinal, and confer no temporal or spiritual primacy of the Roman Curia over the bishop of any local diocese.

I reject the Anabaptist innovation of credobaptism (believer's baptism) as a corruption of Acts 8:26-40 and an offshoot of the Pelagian heresy (we are justified by imputed faith, not professed faith), and hold baptism as both a covenant and a sacrament. I support infant baptism (Matthew 19:14) as well as baptism of converted, unbaptized adults, all by aspersion (Isaiah 52:15; Ezekial 36:25).

I reject as manifest heresy the concept of Papal Infallibility, scoff at the ultramontanist movement as an offshoot of woefully misguided medieval French imperialism via theocracy, and outright condemn the antichrist blasphemy that was Vatican I. I recognize no authority in the pope beyond the jurisdiction of his own diocese in Rome.

I condemn the Council of Trent as a defense of Semi-pelagian heresy and confuted priority of authority and hold fast to the Augustinian doctrine of sovereign grace and salvation by faith. I confer no freedom of will to fallen man beyond that which is beneath or equal to his nature, and recognize no divine merit to human acts in and of themselves.

I condemn as manifest heretics, the entire Jesuit Order and its blasphemous teachings of Molinism. I also attribute responsibility for the rise of Arminianism within the Anglican Church to their direct influence and condemn any and all Christians who teach any form of works righteousness.
