About this user

First and foremost Jesus is the centre of my world, is his the thing that guides my life, he is my centre. He gave me my gift and spurs me on to want to share it with all you guys. I love my God and thank him everyday that i have the chance to play and help others worship and enter into a better relationship with him.

I am NOT a "professional" drummer as such, i've been playing since 2003, I had lessons after the first couple of years because I really sucked! But soon found that I LOVE drumming and all things rhythm. I have played in a worship context all of that time and consequently have learned a variety of skills and have experience of all kinds of different styles of worship music. My aim and goal is to encourage and equip other drummers.

I just finished my degree at the university of Kent at which I had a drum scholarship with which I had to play in the concert and jazz bands. I learnt lots of indispensable skills which I think were useful in all the areas of my drumming.

This September i shall be going to Nexus, a Christian music academy where I shall study my craft and hopefully come out the other side a more complete drummer, I have so many lacking areas that I want to improve and that it is what it is to be a musician, to always be improving and growing.

I have an incredible admiration and respect for drumming and I have a desire to be the best i can possibly be. I dont play drums or practice because I have to, I play because God has called me to play, it is in my make-up. Music is a huge part of who I am and I love making it to glorify God.

I want this channel to be a resource where Christian drummers can come to learn about worship music and styles and how to play effectively in them. There was so much i would have loved to know about worship music when i started playing but had to learn simply by experience, and that can be done! I want to do my best to encourage and equip drummers to more effectively worship our creator through music.
