We still bring knives to school... I live in a very small town the entire highschool is 45 kids and everyone has a knife most of us go straight from school to work at a farm or ranch so its just something we all carry as a tool.

@GhostWarrior34 if you have ever seen footage of a barber using a straight razor that piece of leather they run the blade over is a strop it takes the tinyest amount of metal off to make a very fine and very sharp edge
