Talented beyond his 20 years, Johnny Vargas is an artist who has tapped into the unique sounds of a California born and raised true blood, with a fun and intended taste of ethnicity. Prepare yourselves for the pleasantry of this singer songwriter on the up-rise.

Althought quite familiar with the drums and piano, Johnny uses his first love, the guitar he has fondly named Georgia, to write and develop his music. Some of Johnny's musical influences are Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Michael Bolton, Carlos Santana, and John Legend. His appreciation of Latin music has added a nice blend of flavor to his music. Some of his latin influences have been Jose Feliciano, and the romantic sounds of Luis Miguel.

Close with his family, he remains grounded and with a balanced outlook on life. All of his music derives from a personal experience, and believes that this makes the best music. When asked, Johnny says he has not yet written his best song and never hopes to. In his words, "I want to always strive and be hungry for the song that hasn't been written yet." Johnny says the biggest risk he has ever taken is depriving some of his friends and family of his time in order to pursue his musical career but knows who sticks around to the end are his true friends, and says all of his relationships are important to him.

According to Johnny the best advice he has ever received is, "My mom told me to keep my circle small, and that the close friends I have now are the ones I want to keep for later." with a quick expression someone who wants to keep a secret he adds, "She also told me it's okay to let girls see me get all sensitive sometimes, but never let them see me change my shirt unless I want them to fall in love with me." This young star offers great sounds, is exciting to watch on stage, and truly has something to say with his music.
