Very advanced movie even 60 years later. Far superior to whatever it is Keanu Reeves did a couple years ago. The biggest travesty is what the remake did to Gort.

I remember as a small boy being blown away by the compact/functional equipment Draper used on Mars, particularly the video cassette, real cutting edge at the time.

RPenta nailed it, it's the ATMOSPHERE Curtis created with this great movie and the "king" of vampire movies "The Night Stalker". Like Carpenter in the original "Halloween", he didn't have to rely on blood/gore.

As good as Bishop's original was, this version is better. The addition of the strings is so perfect. Can't hear it enough.

Been in love with Deborah Shelton ever since I saw this movie. Took me a few more years to realize that a scene like this would never happen in real life, at least not with someone that looks like Deborah Shelton.
