Palino started out working in his father's restaurant in New Jersey and by the age of twenty he was running a restaurant/nightclub with 150 staff.

He has created four very successful businesses in New Zealand, including Starks at The Civic Theatre.

John has also overseen the creation of over twenty restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
