@johndm718 Check with your local Animal Humane Society (or vet), to see if they have a Pet Loss (death) Support Group. I go to one, and everyone there understands. The vet department of a local college also has a Pet Loss Support Group, that is open to everyone, but I haven't tried that.

@40Bethy My beloved Sheltie soul mate died in September. I started going to a Pet Loss (death) Support Group at my County Animal Humane Society, but it's still really hard to cope with his loss. I miss him so badly (tears)...
