In 2005, I was on a date with a girl that I had only just begun to get to know. We went to a medical museum in Philadelphia, the Mutter museum, and the date began in an ordinary fashion. A few minutes into the visit, Jennifer Lynne Norris (my date) fell to the ground and passed out cold. Security was alerted and brought a wheel chair. We wheeled her into the lobby and put her on a couch to rest. I sat there with this girl that I hardly knew and pondered why I felt such a sense of loss when she passed out. Time passed and our relationship grew. Six months into the relationship it became clear to me that this was the girl I would marry. I also decided that the perfect place to propose to her was on the spot where she passed out on that date, because it was at that moment that I realized how precious she was, and would always be, to me. On June 27, 2009, we went back to the spot that changed our relationship. Please view the video of the proposal. It is quiet and reserved like our relationship, so there isnt much to hear, but I wanted to share this video with you, the youtube community. Thanks for watching.
UPDATE: I am aware that I put the ring on the wrong hand. For some reason, I was under the impression that it started out on the right hand for engagement, and then moved to the left hand after the ceremony. I'm not sure of the origin of that misconception.
The montage comes from the last cruise that we were on. We are going on another cruise in October, and we will be getting married in St. Thomas during that cruise. We'll add video when it becomes available.
