These video and audio clips were uploaded here especially for the fans who grew up in Singapore or Malaysia in the 1950's and 1960's, and are now living far, far away from your childhood home.

Those good old days... Our very own local stars... The QUESTS, The CRESCENDOS with SUSAN LIM, The TRAILERS, NAOMI and The BOYS, The THUNDERBIRDS, The JETS, The CYCLONES, The CHECKMATES, The SUNDOWNERS, The SILVER STRINGS, The STYLERS, RITA CHAO, SAKURA, plus so many, many more.

We also remember these international stars who made an impact... with a local flavour.
ANNEKE GRONLOH, The BLUE DIAMONDS, SANDRA REEMER, and BOY and His ROLLIN' KIDS from The Netherlands. And The FABULOUS ECHOES from Hong Kong.

Dear want2betrue,

You are absolutely right. Some of my previous comments here have acknowledged that fact openly. The singers and groups featured here who originated from Singapore are all identified with "(Singapore)." Those artistes here who are not identified as being from Singapore include Anneke Gronloh, Sandra, The Blue Diamonds, The Jumping Jewels, and Boy and His Rollin' Kids. Indo-rock was a major influence on Singapore early 1960's Pop Music. Also, The Fabulous Echoes, who were based in Hong Kong in their heyday. There were also countless big-time English and American and other international superstars who helped to shape pop music around the word in the 1960's, but I chose to focus on Singapore artistes here as much as possible. Just keeping the memories alive, and just saluting all my heroes from my childhood days in Singapore. Enjoy the music!

God bless you for this effort. I grew up listening to these songs and learned the fox-trot preparing for the year-end school parties. We use to keep stacks and stacks of these collections! Thank you for Midnight in Malaya, up until few hours ago, I never did know the title of the instrumental but I had never forgotten 'cos all the parties I went too, the local band would always start with this number and that got us pretty excited!! Thank you you just made one more person happy...I'll be visiting here often, God bless

Hi there, I am trying to look for a malay girl singer from the 60s call Nora or Norah that did a version of the song San Fransico, not sure if she is singaporean or malaysian, probably the former. Anyone has any recollection and info or link to her music?

Thanks.
