@tjmag2 this is mainly due to a better chasis, better downforce and tyre technology rather than brute horsepower. the v8supercars may look like a falcon and commodore, but the chassis is nothing like one

what a legend that car was. I seem to remember gricey saying it was the second best group a car he ever drove, it was "fast straight out of the box" one of those rare builds where everything just clicked.
