Jimmie Dodd died way to young (in his mid 50's from cancer).
He was such a kind-hearted, beloved man who left us way before his time.
If there's a Rock and Roll Heaven, Jimmie Dodd is the head songwriter.

I live between Indianapolis and Louisville and I can safely say that WLS is a good catch in the entire state of Indiana.
WCFL was great at night (there is an AM station on 1010 south of Indy that stomped on WCFL during the daytime, but they signed off at sunset).

Filmways used to have stars of their programs do the "read" over the logo at the end of the program.
In the case of the one here (#3) the voice was Ava Gabor from Green Acres, and she called everyone "Darling" in the show. I always thought they were clever.

Still, this is a peice of cinematic and musical candy.
A beautiful sunset filmed indoors on a soundstage at Universal Studios and one of Randy Newman's best compositions!
Actually I knew it was $20,000 and 1-hour after posting previous post (when I heard the next aircheck).;
Just too lazy to goi back and correct myself.
