As we are at the start of a new year I thought I'd try to "freshen up" my site. I've always loved music and I flatter myself that I have quite eclectic tastes, covering many genres of music, both old and new. I currently enjoy listening to people like Ed Sheeran and Adele ; two great artists who prove that we have really talented musicians in the UK and we don't need programmes like The X Factor to find them ! I was also very impressed by The Vaccines performance of Jools Holland's Hoot Nanny. There are currently a host of other performers ( too numerous to mention here ) who are producing great stuff. These days the sad truth is that it's getting very hard to sustain a career in the popular music industry and it seems unlikely that many of the current crop will still be around fifty years from now or that they will ever make the fortunes that artists from previous generations have accrued.

This year I plan to do a lot more performing both with the band Hut 8 and on my own. I'd also like to broaden my experience by playing with other people and trying to play different styles.I also plan to write more songs and post them on this site but at the moment I've got writer's block and there is only one song that I have in the pipeline which needs finishing and recording. I hope to do more recording at with Mr Ben Garraway at The Sound Garage in Kempston later in the year.

I continue to be "Guitar Crazy" and I'm currently in love with my Fender Telecaster which has such great playability. I think this guitar has been one of my best investments !

I'm very grateful to those people who have visited my site during last year and I hope I will continue to get a few more hits in 2012.
