Nope, it simply doens't work that way. I'm terrible at explaining it, I read it in Derren Brown's Tricks of the Mind. Look it up. It's at Chapter 6 I believe, called "Pseudo Science, Anti Science and Bad Thinking"

Why think of using the face up rise with the pass? That's not relevant to this effect. As Vernon used to say, a colour change is one of the strongest effects in all of magic.

Alright, you could slip them underneath the band of your watch/ underneath a tight long sleeved shirt, or hold them between the right hand 3rd and 4th fingers. Handing them out could work too but I wouldn't prefer that.
