Don't take the bait of those Fenians on the "Flower of Scotland" video. They seem to forget its them, not Rangers fans, that have difficulty supporting Scotland. Ship them all off to Dublin or Rome and we can end the curse of sectarianism on Scottish society forever.

Enkele maanden na de topper in tweede klasse tussen Antwerp en KV Mechelen heeft burgemeester Patrick Janssens toegegeven dat het politieoptreden alles behalve goed was. De burgemeester liet meteen ook weten geen groot machtsvertoon meer te willen rond de Antwerpse voetbalstadions.
"Ik bekijk zelden de politiebeelden. Na de wedstrijd van Antwerp -- Mechelen heb ik dat wel gedaan en wat ik daar zag wil ik nooit meer zien. De politie is er om problemen op te lossen, maar wat ik daar zag was om problemen te zorgen", aldus de burgemeester die het altijd opnam voor de politie. Ook over de hondenbrigade was Janssens duidelijk. "Ik zie ze liever niet meer bij de ordehandhaving. De feiten lijken me gelijk te geven omdat tijdens de laatste incidenten zowel brave supporters als ook agenten werden gebeten door de honden." Bron: DNG |
