Skaters of this time were more "complete" skaters because they had to do compulsory figures as part of their competition. Compulsories were boring and weird, but you had to master the basics to do well in them - when they were eliminated, skating became a jump-fest.

It is sad to read the comments on this video of this gracious, warm, lovely man. I don't know all the answers, but I will say this. I'm a born-again Christian. I read my Bible every day. It IS against homosexuality...and lying and selfishness and bigotry and indifference to suffering and laziness...
