Updates about the perfomance of my new Red Sea Max 250 Reef System. I am replacing a 30 gallon (my first saltwater tank) with this system. The revews were good, I had limited space and this seemed to be perfect form my needs. I will be shooting video throughout the entire process. From putting the system together, tank setup, adding live rock and sand, through the nitrogen cycle, adding corals and fish to completed reef tank. I hope you enjoy these vids and will come back to see how things are going. Thanks for tuning in!
About Me:

In the Automotive Industry and have had freshwater aquariums for years. Upgraded my 30 gallon freshwater to a 75 about 5 months ago and turned the 30 into a reef tank. Got hooked and have purchased a 66 gallon Red Sea Max 250. We'll see how it goes! (I am not affiliated with Red Sea)

Hi there Jeff,
About the skimmer. I have bypassed the airflow valve and passed the airline through a cheap airflow valve like used for an air stone. The replacement airvalve is much less sensitive than the one on the skimmer cup. I can now adjust the skimmer with the air valve alone and don't need to bother about raising or lowering the foam gate. We also have ich, how is yours doing? Thanks for all the advice, Jeff.

Hello Jeff! Great videos, to bad no more new ones, anyway I have a question I am about to set up my RS250 and I am kind of new to this hobby, so question is what stock of fishes do you have in your tank I see clown fish, tang ( I guess) what else? I am asking in part because I saw on some very big fish retailer site instructions that tang should be kept in 120 Gallon + tank so I kind of confuse, another book suggest to have at least 20 gallons of water for each fish which in my mind is just perfect world scenario anyway All you comments and responses would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
