I have heard alot of Herbie and Chick over the years, but somehow missed this. Incredible beyond words, like a religious experience. Roy Haynes is a drumming hero, but this is just mind-blowing by three geniuses working in musical synergy.

As a drummer, Roy Haynes is the greatest genius of the hi-hat. Listen to these slick moves. Awesome! Truly a legend, and at 90, still a living legend and inspiration. The hippest old man on the planet.

Thomas Haake is such a humble badass. Did you see Alive? He says " I could barely keep up with the band at first." WTF! He IS the rhythm of Meshuggah, and one of the greatest metal drummers ever. His mind calculates polyrhythms like Arnold's Terminator Computer mind.
