great vids jeff, u have been a big inspiration, u really have. anyways, what would u suggest as far as a rv? see i want a shower and all of that, but i want a "short" bus type rv so its easily to drive and park. the catch is i want a rv that gets no less that 25mpg. 30mpg is my goal but thats hard to reach. i was thinking a isuzu 4cyl turbo diesel with a O/D auto and 3.73 gears would get me close. what do u think? is there a engine that i could swap in a rv that would get me close to my goal mileage? if u can suggest a vehicle or a way to build my own send me a PM instead of a comment so i know i get it. i use my phone to get on here and its a pain. like i said before, great videos man u have been a major inspiration for me to get back on track from my divorce. take care, have a good one and hope ur well. Oh gosh! I had no idea! Thanks for correcting me, Jeff. I have to have some stern words with my VW mechanic. When I had my Westy inspected about a month ago, I asked my mechanic if I could drive with the propane powering the fridge. He said it wouldn't be a problem at all. Good thing I haven't gone on a road trip yet! Being new to the whole thing, I wouldn't know he was wrong! Great, now I look like a fake know-it-all....

Umm, never run the fridge on propane while driving the van down the road. They have been known to catch on fire in my experience. Always use the 12 Volt switch while on the open road. ~Peace, JTC

@goonisapoop, The fridge runs on 12 volt (battery) 110 volt (when you're plugged in at a campground) and propane (when you're driving or camping without power). Hope that answers your question!

just wondered - does the fridge stay on even when the engine is off. I know it may seem dumb but wouldent that make the battery go flat.
