This is the first song on side 2 of Fresh. This album is so under-rated. It's absolutely brilliant and I have listened to it over and over again through the years. Hardly anyone under 30 (40 even) has even heard of it.

I think this song is perfect lyrically, because our country has acted so irrationally since WWII that it invites comparison with a 'woman,' God's most irrational creature.

Love this song. Have the Commodore LP it was reissued on in the 70's. This song was recorded in NYC in April 1944. On the album I have there are two versions: an outtake and the published version, which this is. Both are great.
