@MsJCBurke Agree with the thought... except Mike was essentially a Monkee from late '65 (as a Screen Gems contract player) through some of 1971. Peter Tork left first. Prefabbed or not, all the guys have/had talent (+ the great songwriters that supported them)--- Mike just ran the farthest with it.

Does anyone remember that Jimi Hendrix opened for the Monkees during some southern dates (!) during the summer of '67? I think the ultra right wing Daughter sof the American Revolution (DAR) griped so loudly that he was dropped...

There also wasn't anything mechanically wrong with the Edsels. The '58 2-doors and convertibles (any year) and wagons are pretty collectible. In '59 they just became hideous...

@50zcarsman Agreed! I owned a 1954 Regal Delux Commander 232 V-8 with wire wheels... best looking car around. The sedans were hideous--- unfortunately Studebaker screwed up & made more sedans when people wanted the coupes.
