I am Jasmine Pickering and am a Senior currently attending the Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology, a gifted school in Virginia. I play the Bb Soprano Clarinet, Piano, and Violin and have recently played the Bb Bass and Eb Alto Clarinets. I am also a composer. If someone were to ask me me genre I wouldn't be able to answer the question because, I compose from what comes to my head. I have arranged and edited several public domain classical pieces and have composed several of my own. This year and my Sophomore year, I have entered the Composition Competition at my school. I have also entered the 2011 PTA Reflections Project and earned 1st Place in the Local and Regional divisions. As I speak, my Reflections piece is being judged at the State level and from there, could qualify for Nationals! As far as my instrumental musicianship goes, I have made All-District Band in 2007, 2009, and 2010. I also, was 8th in the region for my Senior Regional Orchestra audition.
