Jazzie Lee began her journey into rap stardom at the young age of 6, getting her first inspirations from rappers such as the late; Tupac Shakur, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Notorious BIG and Big L. She wrote her very first rap song at the age of 7 and participated in a few elementary school talent shows showcasing her skills to her peers. With her dedication and belief in her music over the years, her rhymes have become more powerful and captivating; as she takes stories told by her peers or from her own personal tribulations and weaves them into her lyrics to exemplify female empowerment and strength. She raps with a twist of speed and finesse with elements of sincerity and pain. While the music world has been taken up by artists such as; Rihanna, Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.. Jazzie Lee's music is the real deal, reminiscent of artists of Hip-Hop's past. What some people conclude that Rap music should have stayed over the years, but due to deaths of some of Hip-Hop's biggest stars, the creativity and originality of Rap music has came to somewhat of a stand still. Jazzie Lee comes with the complete package; Versatile lyricist, being able to switch up the sound of her voice to fit the vibe of the beat.. often times she is more mellow and laid back while recording. The image; Jazzie Lee's image is that of Hip-Hop past often times donning the dark shades, Fila and Nike apparel reminiscent of artists such as Total and Aaliyah, whom she is also musically influenced by.
