@rainabba I meant that it was the first successful model with staying power and resembles better those that we use today. Computers were invented long before the 80's but people don't really worry about those when talking about its history.

@ActuallyLiam I preferred it to the Daedalus, actually. The show is called Stargate. Not Starship. That being said, SGU Stargate Universe was mine favorite and they hardly used the gate.

@noddwyd that's funny because there literally WAS a wizard on Stargate. In fact, he was THE wizard, Merlin. Season 11 would have shown him magically giving everyone on every planet the gift of a unified language.
