Kelley's Song Jason Ward New Age Music Video JasonWard... - 32 views - 2 days ago
Kelley's Song was a piece I originally composed in 1998 and dedicated to my wonderful wife, Kelley. One decade later with a better understanding of music and music equipment I sat down and remastered this fun piece with a more lively accompaniment and better timing. Enjoy the many wonderful photographs which accompany the music. Photographs were taken in various places including St Martin, St Kitts, Aruba, and the Cayman Islands between 1998 and 2005.

Vue 7 Pioneer Jason Ward Studios Video and Still Collage JasonWard... - 230 views - 1 month ago
Ward-Studios.com Vue 7 Pioneer Collage features a variety of videos and still images I've created and rendered completely within Vue 7 Pioneer. The various CGI videos and scenes feature a variety of subjects such as flying, computer graphic animation, animation loops, godrays, animated logos, and more. I hope that you will enjoy these various Vue 7 renders whether you've never seen Vue 7 before or are an avid user or even a professional.

In the search to find a program that could generate computer graphic images (CGI) I found that E-on Software had an application called Vue. By visiting their website I further discovered that I could download and use a version of this software called Vue 7 Pioneer completely free of charge.

A Fanfare for Good Times Jason Ward Symphony Orchestra Music Video JasonWard... - 139 views - 1 month ago
A Fanfare for Good Times was my response to a music composer's challenge. He provided us with a simple motif and basically said go wild. So this was my end result, a fun orchestral score using exciting and unique instruments. Another step away from my usual new age style, yet as always that flare is present even in this score. Enjoy my new score, A Fanfare for Good Times, accompanied by a video of my drive up Whitford Road in Downingtown PA through the still falling snow.

Jason's 1st Symphony CGI Sunset Grand Canyon Lake Powel Flight JasonWard... - 424 views - 3 months ago
Jason's 1st Sympohony is my first real attempt at composing something that might be played by a live symphony orchestra. Enjoy the concert as you are taken an a flight through the Grand Canyon, view a wonderful tropical sunset, take a trip over Lake Powell, watch some amazing Sun rays from high in the sky, and then ease out by viewing the sunset again. All of these scenes are completely computer generated images (CGI) using Vue 7 Pioneer.

The D.E.M. for the Grand Canyon comes from the USGS (United States Geological Survey) site. ( http://www.usgs.gov/ )

The D.E.M. for Lake Powell was created by me using satellite imagery and Photoshop.

D.E.M. stands for (Digital Elevation Map). DEM's are a grayscale image used by artists and developers to generate what is called a mesh. A mesh is a series of hundreds of thousand or more small polygons which form the basic shape of a 3D landscape. The mesh is then covered with what is called a texture. The final product is a simulated 3D world. CGI DEM landscaping is used extensively in most modern games and simulators and in a large number of spectacular movies where real world scenes would become prohibitive to film.

Tiny Bouncing Objects Jason Ward Music Video CGI Version JasonWard... - 599 views - 3 months ago
One of my favorite compositions, "Tiny Bouncing Objects" with an all new completely 100% computer generated imagery video. This project has kept me busy for a long time, but even then it ended up on the back burner because it was eating so much time to produce. I never completed my grand vision of this video due to the enormous amount of time it was taking. In the end I reused several video segments at least 2 times, something I didn't want to do in the beginning. The various segments of video took in excess of 30 computer hours to render and about a month of my time to assemble and animate using Vue 7 Pioneer. Sadly I was unable to get the render kit for Vue to remove the logo in the lower right corner. Hopefully I can remove it and release this project again in the future. The CGI graphics were fun to produce and allowed me to get my feet wet in rending complex animations using Vue. Animated music is fun and sort of brings me a sense of awe.

Tiny Bouncing Objects is a lively upbeat electronic pop, or electro-pop style piece. I'm sure listening to this piece of music can lighten up almost anyone's day.

Thanks to AniMusic for the inspiration. Creating the synchronization of movement and light to the music is a very time consuming task and I give many Kudos to AniMusic for the fantastic work they do.

Dungeon Explorer Opening Music Soundtrack Remix Orchastral Version JasonWard... - 207 views - 4 months ago
One of my all time favorite game systems when I was in my teens was definitely the TurboGrafx 16 ( PCエンジン ). One of the best game cards available for the system was called Dungeon Explorer. Dungeon Explorer is a dungeon crawl similar to Gauntlet but with more aspects added such as levels, character customization, and music, spectacular synthesized music. The opening score from the soundtrack was always one of my favorite pieces of game music.

I decided to sit down and hash out the score and arrange it on my studio computer. Once I felt confident I had the score pretty much perfected I went through and orchestrated the piece to replicated what it might sound like if played by a small orchestra. I am really pleased with this remix.

After the orchestral version I added a synthesized version using samples that are more like what would be heard on the original TurboGrafx 16 version.

I hope all of you TG16 / PC-Engine fanboys and girls enjoy this version! Thanks for listening.

Wilbur (Wilber) the Magnificent Pig JasonWard... - 79 views - 4 months ago
Wilbur is allegedly the pig that played the part in the movie "Charlotte's Web". Wherever he came from he's here in St. Kitts living the high life like any star. Always on the beach every day in the sun harassing the women (or men, he doesn't care) and eating like... well, like a pig.

Pictures taken December, 2004.

Running of the Spirit Jason Ward Music Video Aboriginal Native Culture Music JasonWard... - 331 views - 4 months ago
Running of the Spirit was a response to a challenge. Simply put it was to write an original piece of music to reflect upon and honor our country's aboriginal native people and to present a musical score that would be indicative of their culture. I really enjoyed putting this piece together. At the time it gave me a great opportunity to explore new samples and try new techniques in my music composition. The end result is this song, a cultural and spiritual render of native North American aboriginal music in my own abstract form.

Final Quest New Horizons Theme Jason Ward Game Music Video JasonWard... - 232 views - 5 months ago
When I was in high school my friend Sean and I used to always think up radical new role playing game ideas for computer or console based play along the lines of games like Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Warrior. One of my conceptualized games was Final Quest ~ New Horizons. I actually did develop a table top RPG with an entire core rule set and ran it as a successful campaign with a group of friends at school. I never did get to make a computer version, but this is sort of along the lines of how the title screen would have been with the music I composed for the game.

Celestial Soda Pop by Ray Lynch ~ Ward Studios Version ~ Deep Breakfast JasonWard... - 2,605 views - 5 months ago
Ray Lynch has always been a huge influence to me in learning music and now composing music. In order to even further my understanding of his beautiful music and style I decided to reverse engineer his popular hit Celestial Soda Pop from the Deep Breakfast album. In doing so I learned more about how he arranges melodies, counter melodies, percussive parts, and uses echo delays to add a whole new dimension to his work. It is my pleasure to record and present the results of this analysis. At two places in the video I recorded my finger movement for the main melody so that anyone who is interested can watch and try to follow along. It is fast, so it may take a few tries to catch what I am playing and play a long. I hope you enjoy this mix of Celestial Soda Pop almost as much as the original from the legendary Ray Lynch himself.

Sunset Time Lapse as Clouds Build in the Sky 720p HD JasonWard... - 299 views - 6 months ago
I decided to venture out into the neighbor's field and take this 174 shot time lapse of the Sun setting behind approaching clouds which are supposed to begin dropping snow over night. I never realized it until I watched to final time lapse, but the tripod rotation axis wasn't locked. I don't have a corded or remote shudder trigger for my camera, so I have to press the shutter button on the camera for each shot and every time I pressed it it turned the camera ever so slightly to the right.
