(3) were saved, but they had not grown in Christ. Just as most Christians are, they may be saved, but only God knows, and not everyone will have works at first - they need to grow in Christ, it doesn't necessarily mean they have dead faith.

@meandmygirl15 Where are you scriptures to back that up? Why would John say that in John 3:16 if it were a lie? Repenting is a change of mind, you've already repented if you trust Jesus, even if you don't realize it.
