Japfest is the UKs longest running circuit-based event for all Japanese performance cars. With a mix of thrilling track action, huge show car displays, a busy retail area and a fantastic setting at Castle Combe Racing Circuit, no other UK car show has the same atmosphere.
The awesome Extreme Drift Battle also returned, this year run by the Maxxis British Drift Championship, as the who's who of the drift world competed for a cash prize and the title of Drift Battle Team Champions. After four fiercely contested battles, which showcased some amazing drifting, Brad Hacker (RX7), Ryan Hacker (R34 Skyline) and Walton Smith (Subaru Impreza) from team JDM Garage took the title, with Team Falken / Green taking the runner up spot and Team Japspeed collecting the trophy for third place.
Also, and more importantly a HUGE thanks to all the clubs who brought along over 2,500 cars to the show. As we all know, without you guys the show is nothing. Our congratulations also to Bath & Bristol Scoobies who won Best Club Stand and win £500 off their 2012 club stand! This year set another record for attendance, proving the Jap scene is going from strength to strength. So a big thanks to our sponsors Opie Oils, Rare Rims, Japspeed, the British Drift Championship, for all their hard graft, help and support in making Japfest 2011 the best yet!
